SOLANA BEACH, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Neighbors in one Solana Beach neighborhood are airing concerns over coyotes in their neighborhood after 82-year old, Roberta Hennigan, was injured and her dog, Daisy, killed when a pack of coyotes attacked.

The incident happened in late September in the St. Francis Court community in Solana Beach.

Hennigan said she was taking her dog out for an early evening walk around 7 p.m. After putting Daisy on a leash, she opened the garage door and stepped into the driveway when she says her dog was snatched by five coyotes.

“It was devastating,” Hennigan said. “I kept hanging on and I knew my head was bleeding, but I thought I can't let go.”

Hennigan said the leash eventually snapped.

“I knew they’d taken her,” she added.
