The FBI has launched a joint investigation with the U.S. Air Force following a crash near the top-secret Area 51 facility after officials discovered evidence of site tampering. ‌

The 432nd Wing, based at Creech Air Force Base in Clark County, confirmed that one of its aircraft was involved in an "incident" on September 23. No casualties or injuries resulted from the crash.The initial incident led to airspace closure over the base for several days due to "national security concerns." ‌
