A frost advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 1:14 a.m. valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Seneca and Cayuga counties.

The weather service says, "Areas of frost will be possible tonight into early Friday morning as temperatures fall into the low to mid 30s."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," states the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
