Senior Haryana IPS officer, Y Puran Kumar, who shot himself dead at his home in Chandigarh on October 7, drafted a will and messaged that along with the 9-page suicide note to his wife, senior IAS officer, Amneet P Kumar, the day before. Upon receiving them, Amneet, who was in Japan on official duty at the time, called her husband as many as 15 times in a state of panic. However, none was answered. Then, she rang up their younger daughter, who rushed home from shopping before finding her father lifeless on a recliner in the basement.
