Opal Virginia Richardson East, age 102, of Mesa, AZ, passed from this earth on October 3, 2025.

Opal was born on March 18, 1923, in Sylvia, TN, to the late Arthur Herman Richardson and Dovie Louvina Richardson. Opal was one of eleven children and was blessed with the loving influence and guidance of her parents, who taught her the Bible and a love of the Lord. Opal was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where she met and later married Thomas East on November 22, 1963.

Eventually, they would make the move to Mesa, Arizona, where they placed membership in the Mesa Church of Christ. Opal worshipped and served the Lord, whom she loved dearly. She was always looking for an opportunity to do good to others, whether she was sewing garments to donate to those in ne
