MALIBU, California — It’s been a rough past few weeks for both current and former members of KISS.

In late September, former guitarist Ace Frehley had to cancel a performance after he fell while in a recording studio. Now the band’s legendary bassist and vocalist, Gene Simmons, is recovering from a car crash.

NBC 4 Los Angeles reports the crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on the Pacific Coast Highway. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department says Simmons “passed out or fainted” and crashed into a parked vehicle.

Simmons, 76, was taken to a hospital to be checked out, but already was back at work Wednesday his wife, Shannon Tweed, tells Billboard .

In a post on social media , Simmons said “all is well.”
