Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the much-awaited Navi Mumbai International Airport — a ₹19,650 crore greenfield project set to transform Mumbai’s air traffic network. Once operational in December, it will become the city’s second airport and the eighth to be operated by the Adani Group. The conglomerate already manages airports in Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangaluru, and Mumbai. With plans to invest nearly ₹1 lakh crore in aviation over the next five years, Adani is betting big on India’s soaring passenger demand.
