Mumbai/New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today warmly welcomed UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai after which the two leaders sat down for talks.

The MEA spokesperson said in a post on X:

“Together for stronger India-UK ties.

“PM @narendramodi welcomes PM @Keir_Starmer of UK at Raj Bhawan, Mumbai.”

Ahead of the meeting, the UK PM held talks with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, who called on the visiting dignitary.

“Delighted to call on UK Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer.

“Discussed avenues to further deepen India-UK trade & economic partnership for mutual prosperity.”
