Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (1) before game against the Denver Broncos at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Oct. 5, 2025.

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their first loss of the season in a Week 5 battle with the Denver Broncos.

Nick Sirianni's squad will have a chance to bounce back quickly as they face the New York Giants in Week 6's edition of "Thursday Night Football."

The Giants (1-4) are set to host the Eagles after failing to dispatch the previously winless New Orleans Saints at the Superdome in Week 5. The team committed five giveaways, including three by Jaxson Dart in his second-ever NFL start, and will need to clean up that area to have a chance to beat Philadelphia.

Meanwhile, the Eagles remain one of the NFL's best teams at 4-1, but their offense hasn't yet come together under first-year coordinator Kevin Patullo. A.J. Brown has, at times, expressed displeasure with his inconsistent role, while Saquon Barkley is averaging just 53.4 rushing yards per game and 3.2 yards per carry after posting marks of 125.3 and 5.8 in those categories during his 2,000-yard season.

Could that change on the short week? Philadelphia may not need it to in full to be able to beat New York, but it would go a long way to quelling concerns surrounding the team's Super Bowl title defense.
