BEN HUR, Va. – Joey Carroll has worked as a head football coach for 14 years.

Carroll has experienced highs and lows during his stints at Marion, Person (Roxboro, N.C.) and Lee High schools, but nothing compares to the painful start of the 2025 season at Lee High.

Over the first four games, the Generals (1-4) lost five starters to various health setbacks.
