Gov. Kelly Ayotte vowed a report from her Special Task Force on Highway Safety released Wednesday calling for policy and regulatory changes to beef up state laws and toughen enforcement “won’t sit on the shelf,” but will be fully implemented to make New Hampshire roads safer.
“This report gives us a strong roadmap to keep drivers, road crews, law enforcement, and everyone who travels our highways each day safe,” Ayotte said.
Standing at the governor’s side as the report was released was Lovety Cole of Manchester, the mother of 11-month-old Rebecca Cole, who died in her father’s arms after being struck while crossing the street last June to visit a local playground.
