PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot near downtown Phoenix early Thursday morning.

The shooting was reported near 11th and Taylor streets , north of Van Buren Street, around 1 a.m. A Phoenix Police lieutenant on scene told Arizona’s Family that a man was shot and was hospitalized in serious condition.

Authorities on scene confirmed that a suspect has not been caught. A description of the suspect was not yet available.

11th Street from Polk Street to Taylor Street is expected to be closed throughout the early morning. There is no estimated reopening time.
