Beef prices are reaching all-time highs for a variety of reasons, including supply and demand. But a local restaurant celebrating its one year in business has a deal on a premium cut of beef.

Rudy’s Prime Steakhouse in Clarkston will mark its one-year anniversary on Oct. 15 with a $33 Creekstone filet special.

Steakhouse owners Chris Thomas and Robert Esshaki said the deal pays tribute to the 1933 founding of Rudy’s Market — the original business. The pair purchased the market in 1989 and led it until its closure in 2021 and later turned it into Rudy’s Prime Steakhouse.

The 8-ounce filet's regular price is $58, according to its online menu, and is available from Oct. 14-16 for dine-in only.
