The Chardham Yatra, a revered pilgrimage in India, has seen an unprecedented turnout this year as a record-breaking 16.56 lakh devotees visited Kedarnath Dham. The pilgrimage, marred by monsoon disruptions, gained momentum with locals and officials ensuring a safe journey for devotees despite adverse weather conditions.

Data from the yatra revealed that on a single day, close to 19,731 pilgrims visited the sacred sites including Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, and Hemkund Sahib. The pilgrimage had suffered due to a series of natural disasters, threatening to derail the annual event but eventually regained pace.
