Team India’s rising star, Rinku Singh, who recently helped India clinch the Asia Cup, has allegedly received a Rs 5 crore ransom threat from the infamous Dawood Ibrahim-led D-Company. According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, Rinku’s promotional team was contacted three times between February and April 2025 with extortion demands.

Two Suspects Arrested in Connection

In a major breakthrough, police have arrested Mohammed Dilshad and Mohammed Naveed, two individuals suspected of being linked to the extortion plot. Both were apprehended in the West Indies and handed over to Indian authorities on August 1.
