HOUSTON (KIAH) – A local veteran is getting a well-deserved home makeover, thanks to Rebuilding Together Houston, a nonprofit dedicated to repairing homes and restoring hope for those who’ve served their country, seniors, and those in need of extreme home repairs.

On Wednesday, volunteers with Rebuilding Together Houston and Cheniere spent the day giving the veteran’s longtime home a fresh coat of blue paint. The goal is to make the home safer, more comfortable, and easier to maintain. For homeowner Modesto Jaramillo, whose favorite color is blue, the experience was emotional.
