New Delhi: German Minister of State for Europe, Gunther Krichbaum, on Thursday said both the European Union and India will have to make “mutual compromises” to achieve a breakthrough in the India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations by the end of this year.

Speaking at the News9 Global Summit 2025 in Stuttgart’s MPH Arena on the theme “Democracy, Demography, Development: The Connect”, Krichbaum emphasised that more FTAs are essential for global economic stability.
