Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has emphasized for self-reliant agriculture, and industry collaboration to make India the food basket of the world. He said this while addressing the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry 120th Annual Session in New Delhi today. The Minister also said that the Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam-the world is one family continues to guide the country’s approach to global development. He added that this spirit of universal goodwill defines the Indian civilization. It is not a philosophy of selfishness, but of collective well-being.
Mr Chouhan highlighted that nearly 46 percent of country’s population is engaged in agriculture. He urged the people to adopt Swadeshi products.
