A 21-year-old Davisburg man died early Wednesday after running a stop sign in Groveland Township, leading to a two-vehicle crash, officials said.

According to Michigan State Police, the Davisburg man was driving northbound on Grange Hall Road when he failed to stop at the intersection of Tripp Road and his vehicle was struck by another car, on the driver’s side, at around 6 a.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver may have suffered a broken ankle in the crash and was transported to a local hospital, MSP stated.

“The investigation into this crash is continuing by Metro North troopers,” MSP Lt.. Mike Shaw stated on X. “We want to remind drivers to obey all traffic control devices, especially at intersections.”
