The last of three gang members charged with a Bethlehem killing was convicted at trial on Wednesday.
Zahmire Welcome was convicted in Northampton County of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and kidnapping, according to a clerk with Northampton County Judge Michael Koury.
Deputy Attorney General Katherine McDermott, who prosecuted the case, confirmed Welcome was convicted of the charges but had no further comment. Welcome’s attorney, Nicholas Macri, could not immediately be reached Thursday morning for comment.
Welcom, a 27-year-old Whitehall man, was part of a conspiracy by the “Money Rules Everything” gang to kill 18-year-old Tyrell Holmes of Bethlehem.
