MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - “The Book of Mormon” returns to the Overture Center in Madison for a short time this month.

The Overture Center will offer both afternoon and evening showtimes from Friday, Oct. 24 to Sunday, Oct. 26.

“The Book of Mormon” opened in March 2011, and has since become one of the most successful shows in Broadway history.

Overture Center said the musical comedy follows a pair of missionaries as they journey halfway across the world to spread the Good Word.

The show has earned nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album. The New York Times called it “the best musical of this century.”
