Toronto Blue Jays star shortstop Bo Bichette gave a positive injury update ahead of the American League Championship Series.
The Blue Jays eliminated the New York Yankees in four games in the American League Division Series. Toronto won the series without Bichette, as he’s been out since September 6 due to a knee injury.
Bichette was jogging on the field before Game 4 on Wednesday. Following the Blue Jays’ series win, Bichette said he’s improved and is optimistic he will be able to play in the ALCS.
“I’ve made a lot of progress recently, so I’m optimistic about my chances,” Bichette said to reporters after the game on Wednesday.” I still have some hurdles to clear, but I’m optimistic … I’ve gotta run a little bit faster, but I’m feeling better every day.”
