LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Chances for rain and thunderstorms throughout the weekend in the Las Vegas valley will start today.

It's been a quiet Thursday morning, with light winds and mostly sunny skies at 7 a.m. All eyes are on tropical storm Priscilla, which has been downgraded from a hurricane and has lost its organized deep convection. It's moving northwest between 8-10 mph. We'll see increasing cloud cover late today, keeping it partly cloudy as chances for storms will fire off regionwide. October is usually a dry month, so anything we get will be a real treat. Showers and thunderstorms will start to push into the southeast areas of our forecast later on this
