LEROY TWP., Mich. (WILX) - A portion of Grand River Avenue is closed in Ingham County after an early morning crash left an Owosso man dead.
The crash happened around 6 a.m. Thursday between Gramer and Wallace Roads in Leroy Township, according to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say a 48-year-old man from Owosso was headed east on Grand River when his SUV crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck. The man was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the SUV, according to the sheriff’s office.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi-truck driver, a 66-year-old man from Fowlerville, was not injured.
