Mangaluru, Oct 9: A youth died after accidentally falling into a well near his house at Pade in Kinya village under Ullal police station limits on Thursday morning. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Mithun Shetty (32), son of Vishwanath Shetty, a resident of Kinya. Mithun, who had gone to sleep the previous night, was found missing in the morning, prompting family members to search for him. During the search, they found a pair of slippers near a well close to the Kinya gram panchayat building. Locals immediately alerted the police, and a search operation was launched.
