Ray D'Arcy ‘hugely disappointed’ with RTÉ as shock departure from Radio One is confirmed

Ray D'Arcy said he is ‘hugely disappointed’ with RTÉ management as it was confirmed he is leaving the broadcaster.

The shock departure from RTÉ Radio One was relayed to staff today as Shay Byrne took over from D’Arcy’s usual show at 3pm.

It is understood it follows a meeting held between D'Arcy (60) and RTÉ Director of Audio Patricia Monahan earlier this week.

The news has sent shockwaves through RTE radio.
