When 51-year-old Shaker Heights native Lorne Novick decided to leave the sports industry, he didn’t have to look far for inspiration—his parents provided the guiding light that helped him find his next path.
“I had one parent who was a practicing social worker and then another who was a world-renowned urological surgeon,” Novick told the Cleveland Jewish News. “Both of them chose to focus on opportunities that gave back to the community. And when I was looking at transitioning my career, the motivation that they provided in viewing careers within that lens of giving back to the community was my inspiration for joining JumpStart.”
