Bar Leone, a Hong Kong bar with “a timeless Italian charm,” nabbed the top spot on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list , which was unveiled on Oct. 8.

Founded by Rome-born bartender Lorenzo Antinori, no other bar has undergone a rapid rise to fame quite like Bar Leone has.

In an announcement unveiling this year’s list, the 50 Best brand , which hosted the awards ceremony in Hong Kong, noted: “The ‘firsts’ for this bar have been coming since its opening in 2023. Bar Leone — whose mantra is ‘cocktail popolari’ meaning ‘cocktails for the people’ — made waves from the outset, taking the (No. 2) position on The World’s 50 Best Bars list last year and being named the best bar in Asia twice in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 and 2025 … the first bar ever to do so.”
