There was a paw-some sight in the House of Commons recently when TJ, the cuddly mascot of Livingston-based charity Team Jak, took to the floor of the House of Commons in front of the famous green benches. ‌

TJ made the trip to Westminster thanks to Livingston constituency MP Gregor Poynton, who was given special permission by the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, to bring him in for a photo to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. ‌

The moment followed a visit over the summer by Gregor and Scottish Labour Leader Anas Sarwar to Team Jak’s Den in Livingston, where they met founder Allison Barr and her dedicated team to learn more about the charity’s incredible work supporting children and young people with cancer, as well as their families and siblings.
