Family members remember J.W. Bode as a hero who died trying to save the lives of others. Now, they’re working with the hospital where he spent his final moments, trying to memorialize his life, and help those in need.
J.W. Bode was serving as a security guard at an Enid hospital in August when a gunman came in and opened fire. Bode spared no time trying to take down the gunman, but was shot and killed when doing so.
Detectives tell Bode’s family that he saved dozens of lives that day, while many call Bode a hero.
