Cuttack: Days after violent clashes rocked Odisha’s Cuttack, police on Thursday issued two helpline numbers for the public in a move to ensure peace and counter any attempt to spread rumours.

The Cuttack Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) issued the helpline numbers as normalcy gradually returned to the city after violent incidents prompted the authorities to impose a 36-hour curfew and 48-hour internet shutdown. ADVERTISEMENT

People have been advised not to trust or circulate unverified or false information. In a post on X, the DCP has appealed to residents to report any suspicious messages or rumours directly to the police via the following mobile numbers: 7328077324 and 8480513007.
