LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) confirmed that a mountain lion was fatally struck by a driver on Arkansas Highway 84 in Hot Spring County after a resident initially made a Facebook post .

The post showed the aftermath of a vehicle collision with a mountain lion, which they said happened last night.

The fatal collision happened around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. The mountain lion was struck on Arkansas Highway 84 near exit 91 of Interstate 30 in Hot Spring County.

"Arkansas Game and Fish Commission staff responded to the scene after the Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the road-killed animal and collected the large cat," AGFC said.
