Prime Minister Narendra Modi has raised the issue of Khalistani extremism with his UK counterpart Keir Starmer, saying “radicalism and violent extremism” should not be allowed to use the freedoms available in democratic societies, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said on Thursday.

Addressing a press briefing in Mumbai, Misri said that PM Modi also emphasised the need for legal action against the Khalistani extremists active in the UK.
