YOUNGSTOWN There is a heavy police presence on Youngstown's south side.

Information is currently limited, but a 21 News crew at the scene saw several police cruisers from multiple agencies, including Youngstown and Boardman, as well as a SWAT team vehicle on Southern Boulevard near Rush Boulevard. The road is currently blocked off.

One resident told 21 News they were trying to get home, but were told by an officer to find another way.

A separate 21 News crew at Valley Christian School near the area of the police presence was told by a school resource officer that the school was on lockdown due to a shooting. The shooting did not happen at the school.

It is unclear at this time if anyone was struck in the shooting or if any suspects have been caught yet.
