The first major event cancellation due to supply chain challenges during B.C.’s public sector strike has been announced, with potentially more on the way.

Juggler Haus Oktoberfest, which was set to take place Saturday, Oct. 18 in east Vancouver, will be cancelled due to the continuing B.C. General Employees Union strike which has halted liquor distribution across the province and dried up remaining supplies available at private stores.

“It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of Oktoberfest 2025,” read a notice shared with ticket holders and posted online.
