HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - Two teens were arrested for fleeing from police in a stolen Jeep, officers said.

Kamari Roberts, 19, and 18-year-old Abinel Zayas, both of Hartford, were charged.

Hartford police said they received information from Windsor police on Wednesday about a stolen Jeep Cherokee, the people in which eluded officers.

Police said it was also relayed to them that the Jeep may have had an AK-style rifle in it.

Detectives tracked the vehicle as the driver headed south on Windsor Avenue.

“The suspects parked at a gas station and fled on foot but were quickly apprehended following a coordinated response by detectives and patrol officers,” Hartford police said in a social media post .
