POST FALLS, Idaho — Post Falls Police Chief Greg McLean has announced his retirement from the Post Falls Police Department, effective October 18, 2025.

The city says Chief McLean began his career with PFPD in 1989 as a full-time Animal Control Officer. One year later, he was hired as a full-time police officer. Over three decades, he served in a variety of roles, including Field Training Officer, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Captain, and ultimately, Chief of Police.

Throughout his more than 30 years of service, Chief McLean has exemplified steadfast leadership, professionalism, and dedication to the safety and well-being of the Post Falls community.
