HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A semi caught on fire near Slaughters on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with the Slaughters Community Volunteer Fire Department say this happened around 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Officials say Slaughters, Sebree and Hanson Fire Departments extinguished a semi truck fire at the 128 mile marker of I-69.
Firefighter say the driver was able to safely exit the vehicle. The southbound lane of I-69 was shut down while crews worked to control the blaze.
A spokesperson says, "Thank you to Sebree and Hanson Fire departments and also Jeff’s Towing."
