The latest mass overdose incident in Baltimore’s Penn-North neighborhood remains under investigation. The overdoses happened in the same area where more than two dozen people overdosed in July.

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott spoke on the C4 and Bryan Nehman Show on Thursday. The mayor acknowledged the prevalence of drug use in the area and emphasized the importance of addressing both the criminal aspect and providing treatment to those in need.

“I can’t get into the BPD investigation, but they’re going to continue to investigate, and folks will be, even more folks will be arrested and brought to trial for the dealing of the drugs themselves,” Scott said.

A total of 11 people were affected on Wednesday and a woman and six men between the ages of 30 and 60 were taken to hospitals.
