NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — After months of anticipation, the new series "9-1-1: Nashville" is premiering Thursday night on WKRN, showcasing the heroic adventures of first responders in Music City, with some help from real emergency personnel around Middle Tennessee.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who plays dispatcher Cammie Raleigh in the new show, got the chance to put on a headset to listen to calls and radio traffic so she could learn about a day in the life of a Metro Nashville 911 dispatcher firsthand.

The Nashville Department of Emergency Communications said its personnel also brought Brad Paisley's wife up to speed with dispatch humor, wit, and grit, even though she didn't need much coaching. • (Courtesy: Nashville Department of Emergency Communications) • (Courtesy: Nashville Depa
