JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH (WTRF) - A Steubenville man was arrested Wednesday after law enforcement executed a search warrant at a home on Adams Street.
The Jefferson County Drug Task Force, with help from the Jefferson County S.R.T., Steubenville Police, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, searched the residence at 1056 Adams Street on October 8.
Officers detained Leroy Benjamin, 36, of Steubenville, after he allegedly tried to dispose of evidence while police entered the home.
Inside the residence, detectives found $1,600 in cash, about 28 grams of suspected fentanyl, and roughly 19 grams of suspected cocaine.
During the search, Benjamin reportedly threw a loaded firearm out of a bedroom window.
He was taken to the Justice Center and is facing charges including felony drug possessi
