ORCHARD PARK - Linebacker Matt Milano, who just hasn’t been able to stay on the field for three seasons running, sat out practice Thursday and it’s looking unlikely that he’ll be playing Monday night when the Buffalo Bills take on the Falcons in Atlanta.

Milano suffered a pectoral muscle injury in Week 2 against the Jets and missed the second half of that game and the next two against the Dolphins and Saints, but he was back in the starting lineup for last Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.

However, after playing a good first half while making six tackles, he re-injured the pectoral late in the second quarter and did not return. Coach Sean McDermott said Milano is a week-to-week situation, but he stopped short of saying Milano is headed for injured reverse.
