Britney Gard , a 46-year-old mother from Indiana, was found alive on Wednesday (October 8) after being missing for over a week following a suspicious fire at her home. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office reported that Gard was discovered in a wooded area about two and a half miles from her residence in Bainbridge, Indiana. She had been missing since September 30.

Gard was located after she called authorities for help finding her way out of Hall Woods Nature Preserve. Officials quickly found her and transported her to a nearby hospital for a medical evaluation. Her current condition remains unknown, and it is unclear how she ended up in the woods.
