CHICAGO (WGN) — Caleb Williams is invested in becoming an all-time great on the football field. Whether that becomes reality is up to him and the football gods, but off the field, he's turned his attention toward investing in another type of football.

Women's professional fútbol, to be specific.

The Boston Legacy Football Club, the soon-to-be newest addition to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), announced that Williams and his investment firm, 888 Meidas, joined the team's investment group on Thursday. Boston Legacy FC will kick off its inaugural season in 2026 as the 15th team in the NWSL.
