The National Weather Service released an updated freeze warning at 1:41 p.m. on Thursday valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Berkshire County.

The weather service describes, “A widespread frost with sub-freezing temperatures at or below 32 degrees expected.”

“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” adds the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
