Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced on Thursday that his office is expanding its investigation into Discord after the suspected assassin of Charlie Kirk used the chat platform on the day of the shooting.

Paxton previously launched an investigation into Discord and other platforms that allegedly violated children’s privacy and safety under a state law, called the Securing Children Online Through Parental Empowerment Act.
