Winning Powerball ticket sold in Denham Springs worth $100,000

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — If you bought a Powerball ticket in Denham Springs for the Wednesday, Oct. 8 drawing, you may want to check your numbers.

A $100,000 winning ticket was sold at Murphy Express #8510 on LA Hwy 16, according to the Louisiana Lottery. The lucky ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers plus the Powerball, and included the Power Play option to multiply the winnings.

The winning numbers for Wednesday’s drawing were 08, 10, 44, 48, 54, and the Powerball number was 14.

The Powerball jackpot now stands at $244 million, with a cash value of $114.2 million. The next drawing is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, and tickets cost $2 each.
