Officials in at least one New Jersey school district are speaking out against the latest TikTok trend that involves apparently urinating in public areas.

The so-called "pee challenge," in which users film what appears to be a stream of urine in an open outdoor space, prompted the Barnegat School District to send a letter to families Oct. 6 stating that the act has begun happening on school property. The letter, shared on social media , called the trend "completely reprehensible" and warned students to avoid taking part.

"Students who participate, attempt to participate, or simulate participation in this trend will face strict school consequences," wrote Principal Patrick Magee. "The district and police are committed to investigating every report thoroughly. Students and families should
