The live-action Tangled is coming!

Disney is moving forward after putting the project indefinitely on pause earlier in 2025.

Scarlett Johansson is “being eyed to star” as Mother Gothel, per Variety .

Originally, the movie was delayed following Snow White ‘s disappointing performance at the box office. With the Lilo & Stitch movie bringing in $1 billion globally, the studio is hoping Tangled has similar success.

The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey is in talks to direct.

There have been no casting announcements just yet.
