SAN JOSE — A man who was viciously assaulted at a North San Jose light rail station late last month has died from his injuries, authorities announced, and the suspect arrested in the attack could soon face a murder charge as a result.
The assault was reported just before midnight Sept. 29 at the Gish station at East Gish Road and North First Street, and responding deputies with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office — which polices Valley Transportation Authority transit lines — found a 42-year-old man suffering from serious head injuries.
